The WorkPlace Inc., Bridgeport, southwestern Connecticut’s regional work force development board, announced that its Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program was awarded a $296,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program helps veterans transition out of unemployment and homelessness.

The Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield County, Bridgeport, a nonprofit organization the provides programs and services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, received a $25,000 grant from the Viola W. Bernard Foundation, Philadelphia, for clinical therapy services.

Alexander Isley Inc., Redding, a brand development and communication design firm, was selected to redesign the covers of Weight Watchers magazine, published by Weight Watchers Publishing Group.
