David A. Klanica of Newtown was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer at the RVI Group, Stamford, a provider of residual value insurance. Most recently, Klanica was vice president and CFO at Pitney Bowes Capital Services, Shelton. Prior to that, he was global technical controller for the commercial equipment financing division of GE Commercial, Danbury. Before that, he was director, accounting services at Mercedes-Benz Credit Corp., Norwalk. Klanica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Quinnipiac University.

Gene Gasparri-Romanello of Fairfield was promoted to senior recruiting manager at Mackey & Guasco Staffing Associates L.L.C., Darien, a staffing firm specializing in the areas of office administration and human resources. Gasparri-Romanello joined the firm in 2005 as manager of temporary staffing. Prior to that, she worked for 22 years at Pitney Bowes Inc., Stamford, culminating as benefits administrator. Gasparri-Romanello holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in human services from Pace University.

Ilanna Schwalbe of Scarsdale, N.Y., joined ONS Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation Center, Greenwich, a provider of orthopaedic and neurological physical and occupational therapy care, as an occupational and certified hand therapist. Since 1993, Schwalbe was a senior hand therapist at the Hand Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Group, Hartsdale, N.Y. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts from the University of Washington and a Master of Arts degree in occupational therapy from New York University.

Amy Brogle of Greenwich joined Elite Health Services, Cos Cob, a provider of orthopedic and sports physical therapy, in-home personal training and therapeutic massage services, as a physical therapist. Since 2003, Brogle was a clinician at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, La. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biology and a Master of Science degree in physical therapy, both from Sacred Heart University.

Robyn Kaiserman of Trumbull was appointed a senior communications specialist at FrameworkCR, Wilton, a corporate responsibility and financial reporting and communications firm. Kaiserman formerly worked in the brokerage business for seven years and in pension management product development and marketing at TIAA-CREF, New York City, for 16 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from New York University.

Hillary Olson of Norwalk was appointed an account executive at Altamira, Westport, a communications agency. Most recently, Olson was an executive sales assistant at Van Wagner Outdoor, New York City. Prior to that, she was a public relations assistant at Workhouse Publicity, New York City. Olson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and political science from the University of Vermont.

John Silvanie of Ridgefield, president of White Plains Bus, White Plains, N.Y., a provider of school bus service to the White Plains and Greenburgh 7 school districts, and president of Suburban Charter Services, White Plains, a provider of bus services, was elected president of the Bus Association of New York State Inc., a trade association representing private bus companies. Silvanie has been a member of the organization’s board of directors since 2004.
