Patriot enters Westchester market

Patriot National Bank, headquartered in Stamford, is bringing its “banking revolution” to Westchester County, N.Y., with its newest branch in Bedford.

With 14 branches throughout Connecticut, as well as a branch in New York City, Patriot National Bank’s Bedford branch at 432 Old Post Road brings to 16 its total branch count.

Nationally chartered in 1994, Patriot National Bank touts itself as one of the fastest-growing banks in the Northeast, saying it is looking to offer an alternative to larger banks while providing personalized service to consumers and local businesses. Patriot National Bank plans to open several more full-service branches in 2007. Patriot National Bancorp Inc., the parent of Patriot National Bank, had total assets of $724 million as of March 31.
